What is Going On With Pharmacies in Canada

Friday, February 29th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Chris_Sorgee] Chris Sorgee There is a large amount of talk lately in regard to Canadian pharmacies, and why not? pharmacies in Canada provide the same identical perscription drugs you would find at the local pharmacy, deliver to your front door, and most importantly, save you some cash. But not all pharmacies are the same. This article has been composed to help you to identify what you ought to look around for when doing business with Canadian pharmacies online. As mentioned above, you will find the same prescription medications at Online pharmacies in Canada as you would see at the corner pharmacy, with the big difference being how much it costs. For name brand medicines, pharmacies in Canada charge in the vicinity of 40-70% less than what someone would spend for identical prescription in the US. While at this time, the US considers the order of prescription medications from Canada to be illegal, they allow it to happen, saving U.S.A. citizens millions of dollars each year. Sounds like a outstanding deal, so where does one get started? The first thing you need to do is find a reliable pharmacy in Canada. For every legitimate online pharmacy, there are 4 others which aren’t. That means that as high as 80 percent of internet sites which offer Canada drug sales are registered in another country altogether! With odds like that, how will you ensure that you are receiving reliable and safe medications from pharmacies in Canada? Some good news is that these counterfeit web sites are almost impossible to locate when you search that advertises Canadian pharmacies. The sneaky methods they use to get their customers are through Pop-up messages or SPAM. That means that if you click on an unsolicited e-mail or a pop-up message for a good deal on Canada drugs, there is a good chance that it will guide you to a real looking site, but one that is set up to take advantage of you, or provide sub-standard medicines. Remember this advice, if it seems too good to be true, it typically is. Hence, the first rule for you to abide by is to never find Canadian pharmacies by using an unsolicited e-mail (SPAM), or a pop-up message. Another thing to look for on the website would be an actual physical address in Canada. This should be prominently displayed somewhere on the web page. If you cannot find it, you may have to look under the contact us information. If it still doesnt exist, consider that cause for alarm, and move on to another site. Every honest pharmacy in Canada will have on its website a toll-free on-linenumber for you to contact them. Again, this may be found on the home page, or you may have to look for their contact information elsewhere on the internet site. In any event, if they don’t supply a way for you to reach them directly, consider shopping for another web site to order from. If you are even more particular, there are three important items you ought to locate. Look for a seal from both CIPA (Canadian International Pharmacy Association), and IMPAC (Internet and Mail Order Pharmacy Accreditation Commission). Lastly, a seal from Pharmacy Checker will provide added protection. When it comes time for you to place your order, for your own protection, ensure that they ask for your medical history as well as a valid prescription from your doctor. You will want to consider it a red flag if they do not ask for this data. When you gamble with a pharmacy who is more interested in making a buck than in you, you are playing with fire. Play it smart and don’t do it. Remember, Canadian pharmacies have quite a few advantages to consider. Just don’t forget to refrain from SPAM and pop-up messages, be careful to ensure that the internet site is valid, and make sure that they require your prescription and medical history. If you follow these helpful pointers, you should feel quite secure in buying your prescriptions on-line. Chris Sorgee is a writer and retired pharmaceutical rep. He loves seeing consumers get the best deals for their money. How To Find A Good DUI Attorney

Friday, February 29th, 2008

By Lawrence Taylor You or someone close to you has been arrested for drunk driving. Innocent or not, you know you’re a lot better off with an experienced DUI lawyer. So how do you find one? The suggestions provided below will help you find competent and ethical representation — and avoiding the alternatives. The best source for finding a good DUI lawyer, of course, is a referral — a recommendation from someone you trust. This may be a family member or friend who has faced DUI charges before, or it may be your family or business lawyer who can make educated inquiries. Perhaps the best source of referral is to ask a police officer, or go to a courthouse and ask a bailiff of court clerk: Who is the best you’ve seen? Who would you retain if you were arrested? One possibility that may come to mind is a referral service of the local Bar Association. This is generally not a good idea, as you will usually be referred to the next attorney on a list of members; the only requirement for inclusion on the list is the request to be placed on it. Failing a recommendation from a trusted source, the best approach is research on the internet. A lot can be discovered about DUI laws, evidence, procedures, penalties — and about lawyers who practice in this technical and complex field. There will, of course, be unending advertisements, self-promoting websites and, least useful, endless “directories” of DUI attorneys who have simply paid a lot of money to be included. One excellent resource is the membership list on the website of the National College for DUI Defense. This is a professional organization of over 800 attorneys nationwide who emphasize drunk driving defense in their practices. Although membership is no guarantee of competence and/or ethics, it is usually a good indication the lawyer is serious about this field. The College emphasizes the education of the Bar through seminars, most notably an intensive annual 3-day seminar at Harvard Law School, and has been recognized by the American Bar Association as the only organization authorized to Board-certify attorneys as “DUI Defense Specialists”, a process that is extremely demanding. In making the important decision of which attorney to have defend you, the following should be considered: a) DUI defense is a technical and highly specialized field: Does the lawyer handle drinking and driving cases only - or does he accept other types of criminal or civil cases as well? (This would be like a family doctor attempting brain surgery, cancer research and heart transplants.) What percentage of the attorney’s caseload consists of DUI Cases? b) Does the lawyer have access to technical expert witnesses in police procedures and blood/breath analysis? Will blood samples be reanalyzed by a lab? c) Does the attorney make promises as to the results he can get in the case? This is something no ethical attorney would do, as specific results are unpredictable. d) Are fees fully explained and set forth in a written contract? Is the fee simply an initial retainer, or is it all-inclusive? Do the fees cover such “extras” as the license suspension hearing, expert testimony, blood reanalysis, trial, subpoena costs, etc.? e) What is the lawyer’s rating with the Martindale-Hubbell International Directory of Attorneys? (The highest rating for competence and ethics is “A-V.”) f) Did the lawyer attend a reputable law school? Is he a member of the National College for DUI Defense? Is he Board-certified by the College? g) Have there been any State Bar complaints against the attorney? (Most State Bar Associations maintain disciplinary records online.) Lawrence Taylor is the senior member of an AV-rated law firm of California DUI attorneys practicing drunk driving defense exclusively. Tips For Productivity

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

By Bette Daoust, Ph.D. How can print media help with productivity tips? I recently received a business card from a person selling local and long distance telephone services. His card held some really useful information. It held tips on how to answer the phone with courtesy. Instead of throwing his card into my deep pile, I pinned it on my wall with the tips facing me. The card is small enough not to interfere with all other documents I have posted. Using a business card in this manner was an excellent idea; you can expand on this by giving shortcut tips, faster ways to accomplish routine tasks or even a way to improve processes. I often use job-aids for such purposes and really appreciate it when I get some from my suppliers. Another unique item I received from a company called Total Rebound: Total Adventures was a year long calendar that had a peel off back so I could stick it to the bottom of my monitor. I have seen these in other places too, but it is such a short cut and time saver for looking up dates, and it provides me a way to increase productivity. Use your imagination to create information that will help your prospects or customers. Use these aids when networking to create a conversation piece, get people talking. Giving out pointers, tips, shortcuts, etc., is just another way to catch the attention of potential customers. It gives you (and them) an excuse to talk about what you do. Once the conversation is open, take time to set a first meeting and find out more. Bette Daoust, Ph.D. has been networking with others since leaving high school years ago. Realizing that no one really cared about what she did in life unless she had someone to tell and excite. She decided to find the best ways to get peoples attention, be creative in how she presented herself and products, getting people to know who she was, and being visible all the time. Her friends and colleagues have often dubbed her the Networking Queen. Blueprints for Success - Networking: 150 ways to promote yourself is the first in this series. Blueprints for Success Branding Yourself: Another 150 ways to promote yourself is planned for release in 2006. Bathtub Aromatherapy 101

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

By Ray Dobson Smell is the sense thats the most strongly linked to our emotions and memories. You can tell every time you smell something from your childhoodwhether its that perfume your mom used to wear, the smell of meatloaf in the oven, or the scent of freshly cut grass on a Saturday morning, weve all got a few scent triggers that bring us back to a simpler time. Its no wonder that smells are now believed to have beneficial properties that can cause us to relax, perk up, feel better, or whatever else we need. And if you want to get into aromatherapy, the perfect place to do it is already installed in your housethe bathtub. When starting on aromatherapy, youll encounter two different types of oils: essential and fragrance. Fragrance oils are synthetics, and while they may be fine for perfumes, they arent considered ideal for aromatherapy use. Essential oils are more desirable; theyre made from parts of the plant itself: the roots, leaves, stalks, pods, flower petals, etc. They can be very strong, and before using an essential oil in your bathtub, its important to do a skin test to determine if you have any allergies. Simply put a drop of the oil on your wrist, and dont wash it for 24 hours. If you dont notice any pain, itching, raised welts, or any other reactions during this time, the oil is safe for you to use. Essential oils are very strong, however, and many aromatherapy experts advocate diluting them in a carrier oil such as sweet almond before applying them to the skin or using them in the bathtub. Only about 5 drops or less should be used in a bath. Here are a few common oils used in bath aromatherapy, and their effects: Lavender. One of the most common therapeutic oils, lavender is sweet-smelling and makes you smell great once you get out of the bathtub, too. Lavender is believed to have mentally relaxing and soothing properties, and its great for anyone whos had a stressful day. Its also said to be good for skin conditions such as eczema, headaches, insomnia, dry skin, and hot flashes, and its got antiseptic properties as well. Its very soothing on bug bites and other skin irritations. Eucalyptus. This one is used for people with respiratory problems. Breathing in eucalyptus-scented steam is said to clear airways and soothe lungs, and theres no better way to do that than in a bath. Chamomile. Chamomile, like lavender, is said to be relaxing and soothing. Its one of the oldest aromatherapy ingredients around, and has been used to treat muscle spasms, reduce tension, and calm agitation. Its also said to be very beneficial for the skin and the scalp, and is often prescribed to treat acne and dandruff. Sage. Sage is another ancient aromatherapy ingredient, used in the Ottoman Empire and in Medieval Europe to treat skin conditions, rheumatism, and arthritis. In ancient times, sage was believed to have life-extending properties, and was often prescribed to aging patients for its rejuvenating effects. Nowadays, its used for its beneficial effects on swollen joints, as well as on skin. Tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is used to stimulate the immune system. It improves the bodys ability to respond to viruses and bacteria. Its good for anyone whos got a cold or the flu. Peppermint oil is great for the skin. It clears up acne and serves to dry out particularly oily skin and blemishes. Its also good for migraines and indigestion. Citrus oils such as orange and lemon are great mental pick-me-ups. Often included in blends said to relieve depression, these scents cheer you up and give you energy. Great for starting off a big day with a relaxing bath thats sure to put you in a good mood. Rosemary is good for aching muscles, nervous tension, premenstrual syndrome, sinus congestion, and indigestion. Aromatherapy is a great way to spice up an ordinary bath. No matter what physical or mental challenges youre wrestling with, chances are theres a scent or scent combination thats tailor made for you. Experiment with different blends and talk to an aromatherapist for recommendations for the best oils for whatever ails you. The Power of Government Grants

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

By Mike Freemen There are many different government grants available, from a great many different sources, and these government grants can be a godsend for anyone trying to start a new business, put themselves or their children through school or even buy a first home. These government grants are available from a wide variety of government agencies. There are government grants available from the Federal government. There are government grants available from state governments, and there are even government grants available from local government agencies. With all these grants to choose from it can be difficult to know where to start, or how to qualify for the government grants that are available. The first step is to become educated on the whole subject of government grants. The amounts available through these grants vary quite widely, from less than $100 to many thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars. As one would expect, the level of competition for these high value government grants can be quite tough, and there are specific requirements for each type of government grant. Some government grants are available only to residents of certain states or municipalities, while others are restricted to those who work in certain industries, or who come from a certain socioeconomic background. It is important to review the qualifications of the government grant carefully, and to focus your energy on those government grants for which you are fully qualified. One of the most important uses of government grants is to support first time home buyers and help renters to get into the homes they need. There are many government grants for first time home buyers, and it is important for any new home buyer, no matter what his or her level of income, to discuss available government grants with his or her realtor. The income requirements for these home buyer government grants are often quite generous, and it would be a mistake for any first time buyer to assume that they do not qualify. A qualified real estate agent should be able to help you fill out the paperwork for the government grants for which you are qualified, and these first time home buyer government grants can end up saving the first time buyer thousands of dollars on closing costs and other fees. Government grants are also a hot issue when it comes to college education. As any parent knows, the costs of higher education have been rising far faster than the rate of overall inflation, and government grants of all sizes are available to help people cope with these rising costs. When applying for these government grants, the key is to apply early. Many of the best college education government grants are distributed on a first come first served basis, so the earlier you start applying the grater your chances of scoring some of the millions of dollars of government grants that are available to help pay for college costs. Men Discover How To Use Words To Make Your Online Dating Profile Standout

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

By Teddy Shabba Okay, so I realize that every profile will have words in it, yet it the words you choose that will determine weather or not women notice your profile. Women love to read a lot more than men mainly because it stimulates their imagination much more than it does a man. As men all we generally need to stimulate our imagination is a nice picture and we can do the rest. Unfortunately when men write profiles they write them as if they where writing to another man which means short and straight to the point. Even though, you usually only have a few seconds to capture a woman’s attention, short and straight to the point doesn’t work because you not only have captured her imagination you have fulfilled it as well. When you write your online profile you want it to capture the imagination of a woman and leave her wanting more. Your profile should tell a woman the following things; Who you areWhat makes you uniqueHow you are different from everybody elseWhy you are trustworthy and honestNow, you are going to do this and at the same time you are going to want to avoid the following; misspellingsgeneral or generic languageclichés and common sayingsIt is also important that you understand that a good profile is rarely created on the first draft, however, following all the suggestions that I have given you, your third or fourth draft should be good enough to attract the type of women that you want. A Date With A Stranger

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

By Vaughn Pascal Well, I have decided to move forward once again. I have had two relationships that I thought were it, believed I got all the signs, thought I had found my soulmate. Just to be slapped back into reality once again. I am so tired of the whole dating game. I am now 31 yrs old. I really miss having a family life. I have my son, but I am yearning for so much more. I guess my whole outlook on life was love. That was the most important thing to me. I have since decided that maybe I am putting way to much emphasis on finding the right one and not putting enough effort into meeting new people as friends and possibly potentials. I was just never a dating girl I guess. My friends say, there is no reason for you to always look at every situation and person as a love interest. Am I wrong for looking at it that way? I am definitely not the go out and have fun girl. Meaning I am not a one- night- stand type of person. I have only had one in my lifetime and I am proud of that fact that it was only one. I wouldnt have had that if I wouldve known that was what it was. It seems I have been smart enough or just lucky enough to not have that in my life. No matter what anyone says I dont honestly believe that any self- respecting lady has one- night- stands but hey that is my opinion. I guess you can call me old -fashioned. I want the fairy tale and I have thought, twice now, that I had found it. The first time with my now ex husband and the second time with my now definitely ex boyfriend. I am so furious, not with men but I, myself, I guess. I always put myself, or now put myself in a 100% out there and involved in my relationships. Maybe because I am not the dating type, maybe because I dont want to be played myself. Either way, I dont play games and a lot of people dont, but then some do. I know I am young at 31, but when you put love as a top priority it gets so old when it isnt reciprocated. I will explain me if I havent done that enough already. I am 31 yrs old. I am a single, mother of my son, Dakota, whom is 7 yrs old. I am a student, majoring in Criminal Justice. I am a stay at home mom other than school. I do the best I can. I visit with friends often and they visit me. My friends are my family, I love them dearly. I have family and I am close with some, and very close with others in my family. I am very independent, meaning I dont think I need a man, but I sure would like to spend the rest of my life with one. If that is in the cards. I do not play games. I detest them and people who do play them. I dont need to be with a man 24-7. I like having my free time, and I like doing things with my son that involves us (me and Bub), until I meet the right person that is how it will remain. I dont get my son involved in my relationships. My friends and I spend a great deal of time talking and hanging out together, on a daily basis pretty much. I am not one to bug a man, maybe that is it. Maybe the men I meet just need someone who is well, needy, and that isnt me. I dont call everyday, I dont want to see you everyday if we just met, I want you to accept my son first and foremost but when I feel it is right, You can meet him when I am sure, I want a man to accept my friends and my family. Is that really to much to ask? Treat me with respect and consideration, actually want to be involved and in a relationship with similar goals in mind regarding that, as in a commitment. Is that what we are working towards? I dont want to be committed right off the bat though. I dont think I have asked for a whole lot. I have went out of my comfort zone, giving people the benefit of the doubt to quickly realize I was right in thinking it was a mistake to begin with. My fault, but it still stings. I just want to be happy. I am happy, but I want to be able to be involved and be happy. I want my best friend and soulmate. Is he out there, is he looking? I thought for sure with Jon it would be different but I have no idea why he does what he does and I can see finally, it isnt going to change and it isnt me, he just doesnt get it, the whole love thing, but it is on him, and I am not resentful anymore. I want all my exes to be happy, I truly do. I did meet someone and I have known him for awhile. But you know what I am scared to death because I honestly dont know how to date without looking at a person as a possible love interest, if you know how please tell me. I mean it seems to go against my nature. The big thing is I dont think it is going to be anything but someone to talk to and have fun with because he is only 21. OMG, what am I getting myself into. what made me decide to go out with him, is this, he would always stare at me, now I mean stare, as in walk away turning around backwards to look, when he would come over near me he would look me dead in the eye and to be quite frank I havent had anyone do that for a long time. He is beside himself when we talk for some reason. He always touches his face and rubs his hands through his hair, that nervous reaction you get, ya know what I mean. He will stare me in the eyes when he is talking or walking by, I get a little rush I have to admit. The fact that I dont think it will amount to anything because he is so young kind -of makes it a little more interesting. My date with the baby as I will call him, not in a bad way in a precious name way. I have a habit of nicknaming my exs. I have no idea why. I just do, some arent that precious either, lol. I like this young guys charisma, I like that he isnt intimidated by me. I can tell that by his, look me in the eye, demeanor yet I feel a sense of over -whelming attraction, could be a good thing or bad. All I know is I need a break from being serious, now I am not meaning I am going to sleep with him on our date but I am going to look, or at least try to, look at him differently and I will let you know how it goes. He made me promise to keep the date regardless, and I agreed, so we will see what happens, wish me luck and to you all going out on your first date with someone new, good luck and God bless ya. Getting Ready For Scalpel-Free Obesity Surgery

Saturday, February 16th, 2008

By Varun Pratap For many people the option of choosing weight loss surgery is very attractive, especially if they have a lot of weight to lose. Stomach-stapling surgery to combat obesity is their favorite choice. well with the science and advancement in medical studies. You’ll soon have these Scalpel free surgeries. According to the Doctors, in the future with a tube inserted through the mouth, making the procedure safer than using an incision and opening the way for more people to undergo it. According to news reported by CNN, Doing the surgery without incisions will make it a lower-risk, lower-cost proposition and may be applicable to patients who are less obese than those who are currently considered for surgery, said Dr. Philip Schauer, head of bariatric surgery at the Cleveland Clinic But the real question is, Is it really the right choice? Is it worth the risk? Any type of surgery involves risks, and that includes the risks from both the procedure itself and also the effects of anesthetic used. Ironically a person may be considered so overweight, the surgeon is reluctant to perform any type of surgery in case they expire on the table. No matter what kind of surgery, there are always risk involved. In fact my family doctor used to say “Surgery, major or minor no matter what, Its a risk to your life whenever you go under the knife”. Today people are looking for too many of quick fixes. Just take your normal weight loss surgery where you stomach is cut open and its size is reduced. After undergoing weight loss surgery, patients are usuallyuncomfortable and in some degree of pain for several weeks afterwards while their wound heals. Their diet gets monitored for quite a few weeks and normal food is added to their diet in small amount. This is because the digestion system becomes delicate after going through the process. Even if you pass this phase, that doesn’t mean that you can go out and binge every night. Any excess food you eat, you’ll throw up. And then you also must prove that you are willing to make a commitment that is life long with regards to their lifestyle, diet and physical activity. I wonder what if, from right now, you start to improve your lifestyle and diet. You’ll start seeing some incredible results. Yup by just changing the lifestyle. If you are willing to take the physical risks involved, then be willing to exercise and eat healthy. Dont let the medical industry sell you another weight loss surgery with unproven efficacy.
